Battlefield scraped out four runs in the 3rd inning and Nick Wells scattered four hits to help the Bobcats to a 6-1 win over the Patriot Pioneers.
Wells, a 6-foot-5 left-handed senior, threw a complete game while striking out nine Patriot batters. He walked one but did not allow an earned run.
The Bobcats used a big third inning to grab the lead. A single by Joe Williams drove in the games first two runs and a single to left field by sophomore Jake Agnos extended the Bobcats lead to 4-0. Williams added another run with a bases loaded walk in the seventh inning.
