If we keep Tripp and Thiam, I would love one spot for a 5th year Senior.

Remember......if Freeman gets a redshirt, that means no spots open in 2017 unless there is another transfer and that's not a guarantee. That's why I think the Goode spot should go to a 1 year player that can come in and spread the floor as a shooter...preferably someone in the 6'6 range.

Funny thing is the kid from Columbia from the thread a little below this pretty much fits the criteria exactly.

I just think shooters with length and long arms are REALLY important. When a defender closes out they can still get the shot off with very little disruption. Just look at at what happens with Rutgers....last year, there were 6'1 to 6'2 guys closing out on opposing shooters....that makes it easier for them to get their shoot off.

He is an elite player, but, look at Malachi Richardson from Syracuse,. no problem getting off a shot with defenders closing out on him.

Agree. As badly as we need shooters, we need a semi-competent big man more than anything. Even a Greg Lewis type would help.
according to TV, the other silent commit is a big man. As long as Freeman is here next year, we just need a young kid with down-the-road potential who's primary purpose this year is 5 more potential fouls to give and a few more minutes here and there to keep the others fresh. This allows us to be aggressive down low instead of being basically invisible like we were this past year.

I looked he up a few days ago, very little film out there on him. never in terms of highlights. He does look like he has some length and a good wing span.

With Goode going, how many ships left....and any good options?

With a new head coach, I wouldn't be concernedwith how many scholarships are available. The important thing is that Coach Pikiell finds kids who fit how he wants to play.

The numbers will work themselves out, they always do...at least with the schools that I follow closely.
