Yeah, I know this is a football board but BB brings out the hope in me of another team/season.
Unfortunately, the women are already in the loss column to Chattanooga today.
The men are opening up against Malloy. Am I the only one who has never heard of this school?
They are from Long Island and that is pretty much all I know. Let's hope this doesn't end up badly.

they are D2. Ru will win easily. The women will be lucky to reach double digit wins this year

I thought it was Archbishop Malloy from NYC.
And please....don't get your hopes up for much from the men's basketball team this season.

Double digit wins? I realize that WBB hasn't been a Final Four contender recently, but it was always a strong program. Probably Rutgers' best program. What has happened?

NEW SEASON .. NEW BEGINNINGS ... want to see a competitive team out there this year! Not making sad and HS level mistakes out there. I do think we will have a far more athletic team than we've seen in the past and hopefully all these things result in an improvement in competition and in turn, wins.

It's Molloy college - named after the same gentleman who Archbishop Molloy high school is named for -- and it's a Catholic college on Long Island.

Chattanooga has won their conference (SoCon) the last 4 years in a row and is predicted to do it a 5th. That's UConn style dominance (though not at the same level obviously). Still, a very good team. We are young - 8, yes EIGHT new players. Lost our best Copper to the WNBA and our Center to the WNBA also, and our PG Tyler Scaife is out for the year. A series of circumstances that we won't be going to the Final Four this year most likely. Can still try to put together an okay season, and buld for these next few years.

Let's hope Pikiell gets more out of his existing roster than Ash has. I think he will at least win a couple Big Ten games.

That's your first RU thought of the day at 6AM on a Saturday morning ? lol

I don't like our chances at Michigan State today either. I am hoping for the best but not expecting it. Any win will be a great win for the team at this point.
