AND PLEASE, really put your heart into the comments on this, as the university simply hangs on every word from message boards about uniforms

A few months ago, someone with an agenda posted a photo of some high school students wearing mismatched pants and claimed it was the Famous Maroon Band, and then ranted about how bad it looked. A lot of responders who didn't know any better agreed with him at first until the truth was revealed.
The current uniforms look like they were pieced together from cutting room floor scraps. There are no noticeable logos and almost no reference to MSU. And all that (mostly) maroon with black shoes?? WTH?? If this is all we can afford, then why not just come out and say so. Otherwise, whoever thought the current iteration is attractive needs to give serious consideration to another line of work!! Even the hats look cheap!! And don't get me started on T-shirts and khaki shorts for early season games!! Hey, you won't see that at Florida, Georgia, LSU, etc., etc. If the answer is that the uniform material is wool, then who in the world ever thought that it was a good idea to use that material in the first place??
As long as they don't look sloppy nobody gives a **** what uniform the band wears. Just don't be an embarrassment. That's it.

I think we can all agree. We have to go back to our traditional unis. These are the unis that put famous in the Famous Maroon Band.
I believe there is one poster here who would say scrap uniforms for the band and give it to football only.
But he started a thread ranking the baseball unis, so...the teams should sew them themselves.
But herein lies the problem - they are a HUGE embarrassment!!
This is how a band should look. Short sleeves when it’s hot, full uniform when it’s cold. And no I’m not an Aggie homer, but i respect how the run the band operation!

Would like to see our band support one of its own and purchase drum slips from On2Percussion. Most of the rest of the conference does, as does most of the rest of the NCAA. But I guess we like our black drums as they are. Maybe it’s the bands way of jumping in on the black uniform obsession we have. Just a shame that Ole Miss buys from them and we don’t and the founder was in the Famous Maroon Band
$2,000-$3,000 set of baseball uniforms are the least of concern. And the band uniforms are funded from the music department.

All this griping about uniforms from a group of folks who can't even pull off a white-out or stripe-out when freakin' asked weeks ahead of time. I bet your tailgate tent is blue too.
as a FMB alumi, i think the current ones are great, the ones i had looked like poo tbh. not a huge fan of wearing the "summer uniform" when it's hot more than the first game though. BACK IN MY DAY! we wore it once, i hated it, and then just toughed it out being hot and sweaty.
Thank you for playing in the band. I don’t like the uniforms but I love the band. A suggestion for better looking uniforms is to put slimmer girls with big hooters in them and nobody will complain.
