So he was in the picture that RU posted today with Quincy Douby.

I think people were saying he was going to be back for Purdue but then got the flu. If he was at practice I feel like that is a sign he'll be good to go tomorrow if he is over his flu?

I hope Pike doesn't mess with the chemistry of the starting 5 and let's Geo ease back in to the rotation off the bench.
If pike is smart he won’t but knowing pike and Geos relationship and Geo being the leader I’m sure he will start. Not saying that MAG won’t get any time playing I’m sure he’ll have plenty because we’re not even sure what percent Geo is at for how much that injury affected him until he starts playing. So if he’s back Geo is likely to start but if he starts playing poorly I’m sure Mag will replace him

Thinking about this, I wonder why Geo can't be the spot up 3-point shooter that we always wanted. I like his shot, but most of his shots are off the dribble. I liked Caleb driving the ball the last few games and unless Geo is penetrating regularly, which I don't recall nearly that much, I think a catch and shoot guy wouldn't be a bad role for him, especially if we design plays for him like that. There's too many guys with similar roles, but the true three threat is still missing.

Pike had Geo coming off the bench for a long stretch last year so no reason to think he wouldn’t do it again if he thinks it makes sense.

We won 1 game. I don’t think we have to worry about messing things up.
Out of all the people here I thought you would be good at math 😂

true but that had to do with the amount of talent we had and leadership

Geo’s return will probably be less of a challenge for Pike than figuring out how to blend Jones (post flu) into the line up going forward.

The promising “chemistry” was really shown on defense more so than offense. A lot of overreacting going on about the great offensive ball movement. RHJ was on fire and we shot 50% from 3 including the half court prayer - still only put up 70 points. Geo plays decent perimeter defense. He’s actually better than Paul. Rotating him into the flow should be easy. Jones likely needs an off season to improve materially on defense. I just don’t see us holding many teams under 70 with him playing 20+ minutes. The question is - do we consistently score more than that with him playing. I think the answer is no against decent teams. Hyatt also has not looked good defending on the perimeter. I hope to see him utilized more in relief of RHJ and Cliff up front (less Agee).

Okay I agree with everything you’ve said besides your opinion on us overreacting on great ball movement. Vs Purdue our ball movement was phenomenal compared to recent games in which we just stood still and didn’t move the ball at all. Our great ball movement on offense is what kept us alive in the game and what will be the only reason we stay in close games the remainder of the season. If we keep moving the ball great like we did vs Purdue.

Baker wasn't even at the game on Thursday so its hard to believe health wise he would be ready to play on Sunday.Lets not forget he was recovering from a hamstring injury prior to getting the flu.

Yes. If he were to play I’m guessing he’s at a 50% rn

He’s not that great a shooter to have him in that role solely.
