Everyone associated should be embarrassed. We learn more about each team weekly. We learned this team is a mid level BIG team the likely loses on the road to other mid level BIG teams. Mediocre at best. Might struggle to 7 wins. What a difference a week makes.
I would surprised if we are mid-level. If we played the top of the conference we would be at the bottom. Our schedule is all mid to low level teams and still we will only win a few league games. At least our fan base finally gets what us "pessimists" knew all along.

A 4th year of this would be financially ruinous to the AD and university. Especially with new revenue sharing models and a potential break from the NCAA structure on the horizon. Rhule must be moved out, at the latest, the end of the season. It cannot be allowed to continue.

I will say pedo st didn’t do us any favors by firing Franklin way to much of a distraction, and I blame coach Rhule he could have come out and said something more concrete about staying at Nebraska, if he takes care of business he’ll get his paycheck but if this team spirals down he’ll be in the unemployment line with Franklin

This is the worst effort from a Matt Rhules team since he’s been hired. And athletes department burn the all white uniforms never use them again
I agree, in the 32 games Rhule has coached here, considering the level of competition this is the worst performance in the last 2 1/2 years.

Such is the life of football fans with a career .500 coach.

The white uniforms have nothing to do with it.

Why would you have thought Nebraska was a good team after last week? That game was a comedy of errors by both teams. Maryland is the dumbest team in college football and thats the only reason Nebraska won.

That was the Indiana game last year, only Minnesota wasn’t good enough to score 56.

Seriously - that was a low point in the Matt Rhule regime. Getting completely destroyed by the most pedestrian team on your schedule.

36 dropbacks and 16 legitimate rushing attempts with no line and a qb that can barely beat me in a 40.

Blocking and tackling are not up to big 10 standard. Can’t even think to compete in the conference until it happens.

Iowa fans said it for years - that Nebraska would be nothing is the B1G. And they have been correct. Most Iowa fans know what they are and have accepted it. We would be good to do the same.

Bringing Iowa into every time is your problem. Worry about what you are doing and not everyone else. Different world with NIL. Figure it out or be left out. The Nebraska arrogance is the problem.

The problem? Accountability. Ruhle is not accountable for bringing in the right staff, people who can teach and develop players. Eckler is one exception to that, but even with him, it took Ruhle two years to figure out Special Ed Foley was not the answer. And apparently the staff is not being held to account by Matt for the performance ( if you can call it that ) of their units. Case in Point Don Raiola. The fact that Matt allowed him to stay after last year shows me that Matt does not hold any position coach accountable. Now after 22 sacks in four league games, let's see if Matt makes a change or just collects a check. I am betting on the latter. Five and six win teams typically have the very issues I am talking about. Nine and ten win teams require accountability and make a change when it is needed, not years later. Until that changes, not else will change.

It retrospect we will look at the the Michigan, Michigan State, and Maryland games and see the writing on the wall. Winning is important but we also saw major holes in our team, even in our wins. Like the inability to protect the passer and stop the running game. Also, a lack of depth at rb, and the inability to block from the rb position. The inability to throw again man coverage outside of screens and fades. Eventually a decent coach was going to scheme around this deficiencies. Minnesota brought in 3 WR packages to force us into a light front, then audibled to i-formation against this front, and just rammed the ball down our throat because our front is so small, and our team lacks overall size on defense. They got physical with our WRs and filled the box, forced Dylan to make perfect throws on fades and deep patterns or throw into congestion which he hates doing. And with only one back, it forces us into relatively predictable one back sets as we don't have a second reliable running option on the field, ever. The problem will only get worse as teams scheme using the minnesota tape. Rhule doesn't actually coach anything so I don't think him interviewing or whatever matters that much. The team is just thrown together to win 6 games, and he fell into a 5 star qb, who they aren't developing. As bad as Dylan looked, most of the chunk players were him running around with his head cut off and find an open receiver. Another qb would have likely ended in a shutout.
