I still do not think we are....some great great strides tonight and the last couple of days with the program but slow down. For one I do not want to have this discussion tonight and bring up the warts we have...and we clearly have some. Just because we played great ball for 3 days means nothing until we show in league play night in and out that will bring it during the conference and regular season...intensity game in and game out...win games in stretch and bunches and so far we have not done that...but Im not about trying to be negative tonight...those are your opinions, I disagree. There is a lot that goes into taking the next steps. Alot to be encouraged by..and certainly more than what we were taking from last week BUT its a huge leap to the next level. We won 3 league games...we need to start by trying to get to 6-8 next year

Rutgers will not be a bubble team until they show the ability to win on the road which hasn't happened in decades. This tournament was a feel good story for Rutgers but going forward the roster still needs to be upgraded to get some parity talent wise with league opponents.A Sanders departure makes even having a winning season highly doubtful.

If Corey comes back we will be 3-4 games over .500 and on the NIT bubble.

Defense and rebounding is the reason why we are very close to making that next step this season. And we lose Williams and Freeman. Thats alot to give up if that is our identity.

Mathis apparently is just as good a rebounding guard as mike with an extra gear on the offensive end

We are bring in 5 to, possibly, 6 new players for next year with some good returning players, Geo, EO, Duke, and Thiam. Decisions on Bullock, Mensah Doorson and Corey to come.

Jr. Shaq Carter
So. Peter Kiss
R.Fr. Myles Johnson
Fr. Montez Mathis
Fr. Ron Harper Jr.

I think we have a pretty strong 9-10 man rotation that can compete well non- conference or B1G next year.

Need a shooter or two. New guys or transfer/juco. Purdue won because they had multiple shooters.

I may be in the minority but I think we gotta bring back Doorson. We are not going to find a better 7 footer as a grad transfer who already knows our system. He did very well against Haas.

Agreed, doorson is needed next year. 20 mins a game in 4 minute spurts to keep him fresh. We’ll be able to do so with a deep front court with shaq d, shaq c, johnson, duke, eugene

If Corey comes back we’re a winning record team. We’re be at least that and we’d all be happy. We would net 1 with Peter Kiss. Mathis replaces Mike. Shaq Carter replaces Deshawn. Johnson replaces Sa. Geo, Thiam, Eugene, Doucoure, and Doorson will improve.

If Corey doesn’t come back, we’re in 14th place again. Adding a Strickland would be for the next 4 years and we’d be lamenting our forced patience again. Corey is the perfect bridge to the 2019 class.

Let's work moving out of last place first before we start talking bubble team.

I understand your point (snarkiness aside), but over the last couple of years, Penn St, Ohio St, Nebraska, and Minnesota have taken dramatic steps forward from one year to the next. I'm not saying it will definitely happen here, but to dismiss it outright ignores recent history. Why not us?

We have to figure out how to stop playing hero ball. There's a reason we finished 14th in the b1g. We aren't going to consistently win taking so many long range 2's.

For as good as Corey and Geo were last night, look how more efficient the 2 Anderson''s were against us.

Without running an actual offense, I don't see us going anywhere.
