Just one problem. This is not "the NCAA" doing anything. This is the women's basketball committee of the NCAA, which changes members from time to time. The people that sent Rutgers as a higher seed to play at Chattanooga are not the ones who are completely and totally justified and giving Rutgers an 8 seed.
People talk about the NCAA as if it's the same four or five people in a small room looking at the qualified teams and figuring out how best to screw with Rutgers each year they make it.
I'll admit, back when lower seeds could play at home, it sure did look kind of suspicious. This is NOT that.

The rpi of 42 hurt...also notice Minny and Nebby also seeded 8th...Northwestern got the 7..that would have been Rutgers spot if they beat them in the Big 10 tourney
