We're in agreement then. B1G West football sucks. And the top teams in college football wear Nike. Decisively both. So, you're just moving goalposts to try to create an argument that isn't there. Got it.
Worst teams in the country also wear Nike bro. Coaching is what matters.. not the apparel sponsor. Volleyball team kind of proves that, correct?
It all matters. Facilities, marketing/branding, social media, all of it. Yeah, I agree, coaching (especially the recruiting part) is what matters most. But my original point was that we shouldn't be willingly putting ourselves at a disadvantage by choosing to be repped by an inferior apparel company. Given our recent results and inherent disadvantages that we can't control, that is. In case you haven't noticed, we need all the advantages we can get these days. It's not like I'm claiming all we have to do is start wearing Nike and we'll suddenly win a national championship. Matt Rhule has said many times that we want to be elite in everything we do. Well, we're not elite in our shoe deal. That was my point.
And volleyball, in this discussion, is completely irrelevant.
Because we're talking about football. If we had the #1 soccer team, would that be relevant? No. Adidas is the dominant brand in soccer. Who the hell knows what shoe brands are dominant in girls volleyball. Or if girls even give a ****. In football, it's Nike. And it's not even close.
