Not a peep from any RU website or Twitter account yet. Just waiting on Ohio State, Minnesota and Nebraska.

The Huskers will likely visit Rutgers, according to their bloggers. I'm guessing the Ohio State game will be in Columbus and that Minnesota will be at RU based on where we've faced them in the past two years.

its not the toughest schedule in the world thats for sure...the home games are all up for grabs except for Maryland...still they wont win more than 4 of them and I dont see any likely wins on the road really although RU could compete for a win a few so my first quick thought would say 4 conference wins

Agree. Anything less than four B1G victories would be a disaster. If things go our way, we can win seven.

Home schedule only has I would say 3 "desirable" games that the "casual" fan would like to attend - which I guess means we have a relatively easy home schedule

- Maryland
- Michigan
- Wisconsin (albeit at MSG)

Some other tidbits:

- Iowa is going to be awful next year so that's a winnable home game as well as road game
- Think this is the 3rd year in a row we play Penn State at home...I thought under the Big 10 rotation system this would not occur
- Has Nebraska been at the RAC every year as well?
- Shame that the Wisconsin home game will be at MSG rather than the RAC.
- With exception of 3 games above, all other 6 home games are winnable. I think Maryland; Michigan and Wisconsin will be in upper echelon of league next year.
- Road Schedule is a *****.....if we win 1 game on the road - I'll be happy.
- 2 driveable road games...Maryland and Penn State.......
- Maryland and Penn State should be home and home every year

4 B1G wins would be a good improvement. Baby steps after the abysmal year we had last year where we only won a conference game because the other team had half their team injured.

Rutgers after next year will have played every team at least twice on the road and twice as a home game.

There is one extra game both at home and away over Rutgers first three years in the B1G. So, Rutgers will have played Penn State all three years at home and will have gone to Maryland all three years. Makes perfect sense.

If this schedule is accurate I think we have a decent chance to win 5 games at home if we can stay healthy. Hopefully our defense is much better which I think we will be. Watching Young and Knight a few times before baseball games I think they will make us much more competitive. I feel we must win home games vs. Penn State, Northwestern, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. None of these will be a given but we should have a chance. Illinois should be much better but we should be in that game too. Maryland, Michigan & Wisconsin at MSG seem to be much tougher. Hopefully we can learn to defend our home court again and win most of our OOC games to build some confidence and increase our home attendance. This will take time but I am believing in our coaches. It would be fantastic if we could ever win 10-11 OOC games and 5 or 6 BIG games to somehow get us to 15 or 16 wins. I think that would show real progress.

With the home schedule we will likely have....having a good RAC record is possible.

Restablishing the RAC as a home court advantage is a good first year goal.

But, as BE Phil said....our road schedule is absolutely brutal. If we found two wins on the road next year...we would have a shot for a NIT birth...

Is the Wisconsin game included in our ticket package?

OOC is interesting from what rumblings are out there, but nothing earth shattering in my opinion. Think RU has a shot at .500 this year if the B1G schedule is accurate.

good luck with 500...its going to take a perfect storm to get this team there given what everyone else is returning and their newcomers

Since the NIT started having automatic bids, I believe at-large teams have to have at least a .500 conference record for NIT consideration.

Let's just say "this isn't your father's Rutgers OOC schedule."....it's a bit different, IMHO.

Nothing beyond the announced games in the Power 5...but it'll be some smaller conference flavor that we aren't used to. And a "surprise" away game that has an interesting twist

BK - Thanks.

Maybe the "surprise" road game is at Stony Brook?

Big East Phil predicted Stony Brook and several weeks ago someone made reference to Fordham at MSG. With Seton Hall away we now know 5 OOC games.

Would guess the remaining 7 OOC games have to be all Home Games, low profile as Carino said, unless there is a pre season low profile tournament we're hosting/part of

It never happens but it would be nice to run the table at home in OOC games given it will be all low and mid majors. Maybe this year will be different

5 games away from the RAC is tough with 2 pretty much guaranteed losses.
Need to win 1 and preferably 2 of DePaul, Fordham and Stony Brook.

If we can stay healthy I believe we can win 2 of those 3 games and maybe all 3 if we can gel quickly.

OK...

Remembering that this is a tentative thing, and that games change all the time this early in the process...

Here are the conference affiliations for the remainder of our OOC home schedule

D2
Colonial
NEC x 2
MAAC
MEAC
America East
Conference USA

This is as far as I can go...

BK - Thanks.

Opponent Predictions:

D2 - Bloomfield College (think we played them once before about 15 years ago or so)
Colonial - Hofstra (Pikiell must know them well)
NEC (2) - FDU (play them every year) and St Francis PA
MAAC - St Peters (another NJ school)
MEAC - Delaware State
Conference USA - ODU

I said remaining HOME OOC sked...

You missed America East. Stony Brook is a member of that Conference...but we play them on the road.
