In an unfortunate situation Austin wrestled this year at 285, we can point all kinds of fingers at our coaching staff for not filling this spot with any combination of someone with the last name Andrews, the NEO heavy from last year or the lack of Development of Putnam. But Harris battled every single match and I’m sure that’s why he got the nod but the dude was just too undersized, not many wrestlers are asked to wrestle 101 pounds above their first two years in the program but he did what was needed for the team. As an aside I think that he and Wittlake leaving Oregon ultimately cost that other OSU coach his job.

I appreciate what Austin did this season. The effort was there every match. Tough giving up 40-50 pounds.
Great respect for someone who will do this for a team. Never saw a lack of effort.
