Charli Turner Thorne has retired from coaching and with her retirement will have some of the candidates TKR posters in the WBB board want as Vivian's replacement be considered for the Sun Devil job.

Also an open spot at UVA since Tina Thompson was let go. Coaching in the ACC will likely draw the attention of the best of the best available candidates.

Getting back to CTT - I hope you all remember her support during the Imus situation. Earlier that season we were scheduled to play ASU in a destination tourney and someone (I think the sister of a player) died and ASU couldn't play. RU did not require a forfeit, simply not showing up for the game either.

When Imus happened, CTT circulated a petition at ASU signed by a very large number of professors and such supporting Rutgers, and I think it was printed in several papers.

As an Arizona fan, ASU is considered the enemy. There are nasty nicknames on both sides, I generally stick to Arizona Normal School (ASU's original name) or "that school up north", but I have never rooted against CTT and their women's basketball team unless they were playing Arizona.

Yes, there are some plum jobs available. Don't forget Syracuse (Felisha Legette-Jack is a candidate, apparently) and also Mississippi State which appears ready to move on from their interim; their head coach left at the beginning of the season to battle breast cancer.

I vividly remember when that little boy died. It was Briann January's little brother. CVS was very supportive of course, to the family. I've always respected CTT as well.
