We had to give up the high pick because we couldn't do it without fouling. We had to give up ball hawking D because we don't get the spacing. Our pressure is three guys pressuring and two guys out of the loop. We don't box. We don't seal. Our two man break is less effective than out one man break. It turns out the Ogbole has skills that we don't see until the last two games. I don't want to see 75% of the players back, but I really don't want ANY of the assistant coaches back. Pikes sees this better than I do but he is too soft hearted.

The role of the assistant has changed. Frankly it is less about attending high school games and more about position coaching. A guy like Knight who has built relationships that were valuable in the old era, is practically useless. We need guys who can coach up and organize players within concepts, schemes, and sets. AAU contacts mean nothing now. Money is now the main recruiting tool. That's the reset. We're already behind the curve.

Knight, Smoke, TJ, Hayn are all nice guys. They get along well. This ain't the Beatles. We don't need harmony. We need driven experts that are mad at the world. We don't have 'em. Not one.

Great point. Some fans are slow to understand the changing landscape of one year seasons, money bags ruling the day, and ability of coaches to win immediately from day 1 if the season. You need elite level coaches and assistants to do that

The mens basketball program can't stand a statrus quo coaching staff that has produced three straight losing seasons.I agree the emphasis must be on teaching fundamentals. The half court offense needs massive upgrades because iso offense doesn't work with mediocre talent that can't create/make shots off the dribble. The defense allows far too many wide open 3 pointers and uncontested layups along with offensive rebounds. As for recruiting the team needs more taller players especially at the power forward and center positions.

The Beatles got along? There may have been harmony in their music, but there wasn’t a lot of harmony in their relationships. As for how the Beatles relate to Rutgers Basketball, I would Let it Be.

This team needs players that are skilled. Not just tall I'm watching the Wisconsin/Michigan game. Their players are easily doing basic things that RU's players struggle mightily with.

Michigan has elite talent and Wisconsin offense depends on making 3 pointers
