Army has a 5'8 QB. It would be interesting to see what Monken could do with a Power 5 roster.

game over. Army turned it over.

Jeff Monken is a damn good coach. Very fundamentally sound team. I doubt he would run the option like he does at Army since the Mr. Monken from UGA would run the offense.

I'd be thrilled with Jeff Monken at Nebraska, but I doubt Trev even entertains it.

Wait, I thought that Army is going to lose? So remind me again, why would we want Army's coach?

Why not? He isn't coaching P5 level athletes against P5 teams. He ran the football for over 160 yards or so tonight. That will be more rushing yards than Frost will have against WI. If Army had any passing ability they would have ran away with that game tonight.

The mistake people make is that thinking Army has P5 scholarship players, and that Jeff Monken would run the exact same thing at Nebraska that he does at Army.

He is the best coach Army has had in like 60 years. He is very good at coaching fundamentally, smart football. Those guys play hard, they are assignment sound. They just don't have much skill to work with. Even throwing a 10 yard pass is an adventure.
