Rumors encouraged... so here it goes. I live in northwest Arkansas so the last two days have been miserable. I’ve had two friends that work closely with some of the football players here. They both told me that they had never been more prepared for a team like they were for us and from their mouths they said that they had the signs and knew what was coming before the ball was snapped every play.

Im not providing excuses for the crappy play and bad decision making and the amount of turnovers we had to lose that game but this could explain why Arkansas defense looked ridiculous after being so trash the last 3 years. Barry Odom is an awesome DC but I don’t think he can make the turnaround with that bunch that quickly on defense.

I hope we changed them up from the game vs LSU or this could be true.

Doesn't matter if they know our signs we don't try to hide what we're doing. The air raid. Our receivers didn't "sit down" in the zone gaps well and our quarterback didn't see the field well. They have to be much better with both of those aspects or the air raid doesn't work vs an 8 man zone regardless of the defense knowing what's coming. We knew what was coming for their defense too.

Watching the game on tv I noticed numerous times they showed ark coaching box and both assistants on each sidE of Odom kept looking through binoculars when we were on offense.

So wouldn’t surprise me if they picked up on our signals.

They saw those quick passes at the line a mile away, so they knew when to drop back and when to stay close

I’m not sure that our signs matter all that much. I don’t think our offense is meant to our scheme anyone or confuse them. It’s pretty obvious what we are going to do. Stopping the leach offense is probably about having corners that can either shut down a WR or having guys that can fly up and make tackles after a short reception.

Leach is not coming with a lot of deception.

When defending the air raid, you don’t think you’d like to know run or pass before the snap?

I get all of your points and I love the sarcasm in some... but if you’ve ever played football before you’d know that if you saw a sign that meant a guy was running a dig across the middle vs a out to the sideline that could make a huge difference on how you leverage yourself against the WR and how you’d play that play. Same with a vertical vs a comeback. Players can sit on routes when they know signs

It's true. My SIL in Bentonville had her Biden sign stolen from her front yard.

Not “stolen”. It’s just redistribution to others who needed it more than her.
