New thread for a new start after that game yesterday. Another top notch opponent in Arizona and I'm thrilled the team gets to show what they've got and bounce back.

Alicea
Moore
Rose
Klein
Munroe
Pike
King
Davis
Neighbors

The return of Moore and Neighbors to me, adds the lacking spark yesterday. Play ball!!

Let's go Cards!!

I know, I’m a broken record. But…EKj. I hope he goes 5-5 with 2 HRs and proves me wrong…but.
Already down a run. I also do not understand how we are starting a transfer from NW who was awful last year. Unfortunately that sends me major red flags about the pitching staff or Roger Williams or both. Again, would live to be proven wrong.

EKj gets a hit! Miracle! (I kid). Even the announcers were talking about his overly long swings at the plate. This time he shortened his swing.

Peter Michael so far with really good stuff. That homerun was a decent pitch. Dude just guessed right and made a great swing on it.
I think Neighbors will spark the offense today at some point.

I’ve got to step away from the ledge. I have had a calm, let the cake bake approach for so long with the BB team. Going to just breathe and let February happen (like always).

It's just our competitive nature. We want to see our boys win.

Klein not sparking much hope either in that 4 spot. Guys are whaling away at some really bad pitches.

I was happy for EKj as well. Pike, Rose and Moore should be in the lineup everyday. I hope they have some guys warming a bit in the pen. Long inning and you don’t want Arizona to get any momentum at all.

Great to see Hartmann, Wyatt and Cutts. Best result - all of the singles. Just hit the ball, go with the pitches and make solid contact. You can win a lot of games doing that.

I think we were on a projectory yesterday to see Hartman and Wyatt before the grand slam and the inning with Starks. We could've easily gone 3-0 or 1-2 in this thing.
It was kinda stressful all weekend because being unranked,we needed as many W's as possible.

Nice win today. 2-1 against 3 ranked opponents to open the season- I'll take it. Now, an 18 game homestand, though, I suspect weather might impact some games this week.

Are we a small ball team again this year? No dingers. We've given up 6.

Really, I think what we saw today. Mac preaches putting the ball in play, moving runners and if these guys get on base they seem to create havoc.
I really expect to see Moore and Neighbors a lot because when they're in,we just really become a feared base running team.

There is some pop in the lineup. But, I’ll take solid contact, driving the ball into gaps all day long.
