Standing in the back of the group of players towards the end of the game. Guess they did not think he could come in and stop his old team.
Guess?
He doesn’t sniff the court unless they’re up by 20 with 2 minutes left in the game

oh so THAT'S where Waldo was..... I actually feel a little sorry for him but only because he's still a kid. And frankly thank God he somehow didn't come in and produce... that's our usual luck.

It’s interesting because if he was still at RU, I think Pike would find mins for Gavin either on merit and/or belief that he could find a way to contribute towards winning whether real or not until he made a decision on whether he wanted to stay or transfer out.

It just goes to show how good a person Pike is and not as cold as need be to cement a player on the bench for entire game against old team after transferring.

Some may call it a quality. Some a weakness.

He’s not a physically or mentally tough player but if he could shoot he’d still get minutes. That’s what gets me. I thought it was widely believed that he was an elite shooter out of high school.

it should speak volumes that Gavin is not playing. Especially at Nebraska under Hoiberg. Hoiberg plays shooters. He will scheme for a shooter. He covers up shooters weaknesses on the other side of the court. Gavin is not long for Nebraska. He will be at a mid major next year. His problems are he is one dimensional and a physical liability.

Agree as I thought if anyone could fix Gavin, it would be Nebraska's coach. He is an offensive minded coach who puts players in best position to score as number 0 Wisconsin transfer Conner got wide open 3's. Looks like Gavin will have to transfer down if he wants to step on the floor in college. Or he could declare for NBA draft like Jaden Jones lol.

As someone who usually does not feel sorry for transfers, I also feel bad for this kid. Was such a hyped recruit, ended up coming to RU because of his Dad's connections with Pike and leaves unexpectedly. Probably got sold a bill of goods by Nebraska and now rides the Pine and will end up transferring again.

Gotta be tough to have that much hype and amount to nothing.

Watched him play earlier this year, still a liability on defense, and he needs some serious time in the weight room, the lack of strength is a very limiting issue, plus his lack of success has seriously impacted his performance, he really needs to drop down at least one level and probably two and work his butt off on strength and conditioning

He's not nothing but yes over his head. He should definitely drop down a bit. Shame he also just lost another year. But..he's getting paid so there's that.

First thing I noticed when I saw his pic yesterday was how he’s still rail thin. I figured he’d have bulked up. Wonder what the plan was vis a vis his weight here

I recall his father was somewhat anonymously on these boards a while back. He came off really poorly, so I am sure that is part of the problem in the background. It doesn't sound like the family understands reality

Les Cason says hold my beer.
Bird Vitale protege.
I can still remember sitting up in the stands....I think it was the Garden.....for a Rutgers game....where Les was gonna make his first appearance for the Scarlet Knights. He had recently transferred in and the word was he was gonna see his first action in that game. I said to one of my friends "Where's Les ?" He looked around and then pointed up in the stands to a very tall guy in street clothes. Yes...it was Les.
By far the biggest bust here.

The consensus after he transferred was that he would do well there. I didn't see it though. No toughness.

He had Douby range on 3 pointers but was unable to create shots off the dribble.Griffiths definitely needs weight training and playing at a far lower competition level.Another player with high hopes coming in and disappointment leaving after one year.
