They don't tell us anything about injuries so I'm tired of guessing. He may be back, he may not be. Then he will declare for the draft.

Imo based on absolutely nothing. If it was an Achilles tear it would have been announced. The testing for that injury doesn’t take very long

My hope is a week he was just on the cusp iof reaching his potential. What a **** sandwich JS gets in his first year. Three of his best players miss extended playing time, but the program is headed in the right direction following a legend is the hardest thing in the world to do. Maybe, this will bring Dariq back for another year. He could use it probably wishful thinking but we will call it unfinished business. The NBA might consider him as injury prone.
A huge relief. A strain is no more than two weeks. I am happy for Dariq. It would be nice to be at full strengh for an entire month

How much does durability issues affect his draft status?
Not much . Wasn’t lively’s injury a lower leg strain as well?
Not being mean but you can look at Whitehead and tell he needs to trim some body fat . I’m sure that will be addressed in work outs .

He has a lot of questions. He is hardly a sure thing at this point. 2 different injuries in one season. I still say him and Lively slide to the end of the first round. Flip late lottery.

Glad for a number of reasons it doesn't appear to be serious. However, not sure what he will give us now with a second injury that we all know damn well will have him on the bench for atleast a few weeks.

Even I'm not that pessimistic lol. I hope Whitehead is okay. Getting injured again will probably make him more hesitant when he plays again.

Now is the time to throw Schutt into the fire . Whitehead out hurt , Roach playing through pain, Blakes broke nose . He’s the only guard left not needing a band aid yet. Plus no better time then against GT .

Whitehead is going no later then 18. He’s not coming back and Flip won’t go in the lottery but mid to late first round for sure

Whitehead has clearly not been the player we expected coming out of high school. He really has given NBA scouts very little to get excited about this year. I believe his best shot at being drafted at a high level is to get completely healthy and make a great showing at the NBA tryouts. I’d be surprised if his “camp” wasn’t at least considering shutting him down the rest of the year. And I wouldn’t blame him - this would not be a Jalen Johnson bailout.

Without that explosive burst we expected but have seldom seen ( mostly due to injury but perhaps confidence issues as well), I don’t see an NBA team using a first round pick on DW. Hope I’m wrong

Whitehead will be fine. Has flashed this year despite the set backs. I have very little doubt about his ability. He is gone and should be. My only hope is that we get to see more flashes after he returns and hopefully close to 100% by ncaa tourney time. Yeah I said it. Ncaa tourney time.!

Shey, I agree if he is fully healed when he returns and it doesn’t negatively affect his ability to shine at the scouting combines. But getting points for toughing it out to help the team won’t help his draft status. He’ll need to show his talents, whether it’s with a Duke uniform or at the tryouts - he really hasn’t shown why he was a top-rated recruit yet.

Whitehead is not shutting it down . It looks better battling back from injury and getting back on the court then shutting it down to prepare and heal for the draft .
Not just that although I agree. With rare exceptions, players want to play instead of watching from the bench.
