Perhaps closer than we would have liked at times, but the right result in the end

R! U!

Kahleah 30 points (10-14, 3-3 3 pt, 7-10 ft), 10 reb, 2 a, 2 to, 0 b, 4 s
Tyler 24 points (9-12, 4-5 3 pt, 2-2 ft), 1 reb, 3 a, 2 to, 0 b, 2 s
Khadaizha 7 points (2-3, 0-1 3 pt, 3-4 ft), 0 reb, 2 a, 1 to, 0 b, 0 s
Victoria 6 points (2-3, 2-2 ft), 3 reb, 0 a, 0 to, 0 b, 0 s
Briyona 5 points (2-6, 1-2 ft), 6 reb, 5 a, 6 to, 1 b, 3 s
Rachel 3 points (1-5, 1-4 ft), 2 reb, 1 a, 3 to, 0 b, 0 s, fouled out in 17 minutes
Cynthia 3 points (1-1 3 pt), in 3 minutes
Aliyah 0 points (0-6, 0-2 3 pt, 0-2 ft), 6 reb, 3 a, 1 to, 0 b, 0 s
Shrita 0 points, 1 reb, 1 a, 0 to, 0 b, 0 s
Desiree - 3 f, 2 to in 3 minutes

The team shot 54% (55.2% in the 1st, 52.4% in the 2nd, pretty consistent), a delightful 66.7% from 3 and a not-so-delightful 62.5% from the line. They had 31 rebounds, 17 assists, 18 turnovers (ugh), 1 block and 9 steals.

St. Joseph's

Andrews 14 points (5-14, 0-2 3 pt, 4-7 ft), 1 reb, 1 a, 2 to, 0 b, 1 s
Fioravanti 13 points (5-7, 3-7 ft), 10 reb, 2 a, 3 to, 1 b, 4 s
Woods 10 points (2-3, 6-8 ft), 3 reb, 1 a, 4 to, 0 b, 1 s
Fitzpatrick 10 points (4-11, 2-8 3 pt), 1 reb, 1 a, 4 to, 0 b, 1 s
Franklyn 6 points (3-6), 2 reb, 0 a, 0 to, 0 b, 0 s
Fairbanks 5 points (2-7, 1-2 ft), 4 reb, 1 a, 1 to, 0 b, 0 s
Monaghan 5 points (2-3, 1-2 3 pt), 3 reb, 5 a, 2 to, 0 b, 1s
Horne 2 points (1-2), 1 reb, 1 a, 2 to, 0 b, 0 s

The Hawks shots 45.3%, 25.0% from 3 and 58.3% (pretty bad) from the line. They had 27 rebounds, 12 assists, 18 turnovers, 1 block and 8 steals.

It feels kind of odd to say this, but it feels like this game was won at the 3-point line.

St. Joe's is always a respectable program so to get a double-digit win on the road is a very good win. Surprised to see that RU has another road game coming up at SHU. We normally open at home or on the west coast. What gives with this scheduling?

Let me just say this: I don't expect Copper or Scaife to go a combined 7/8 from 3-pt range ever game, but if the 3-pt range is now a major part of their games, they have both become very, very tough to guard. And that will open up a lot of other opportunities for us on offense.

Exactly, although I'll take that 7-8 from 3 every game if they want to give it to us.
