One of my co-workers told me that they changed thier name from the Rebels to something else. Is this true? What is their new mascot?

A lot of Alumni were pissed, but frankly I just look at it like this: I don't feel safe going there for games anymore...so I don't ever go back. So it doesn't really matter that much to me.

I went last week with the wife, she is in charge of the cheerleaders at New Albany High, to the Big House to watch the New Albany girls vs. Forest Hill girls. The character of the student is what i remember the Provine/Jim Hill/Lanier kids being when I was in school. It really was quite embarassing. My favorite part was after the game, the New Albany kids were coming up the stairs from the floor section, and some nice young lady from Forest Hill basically in a move akin to trout swimming upstream to spawn, pushed us out of the way and said "ya'll be needing to move, don't you know it's black history month." I kid you not, that came out of that child's mouth.

My high school as I knew it, is dead to me.
