Temple will get the first AAC bid. Memphis is rated behind us, & they are firing their coach this week.
Selection show is on ESPNU at 730 tonight GEORGIA May not be the last team to decline NIT it IS not something to be proud of for some schools playing in the NOT IN TOURNMENT bracket. NIT

Most sites have Temple and UCF above us in the pecking order. But there are always surprises. Our problem is only 1 quadrant 1 win vs K State. But UCF has zero of those.
It’s much harder to make the NCAA or NIT than a bowl game. Yet nobody ever complains if TU gets into a bowl game.
The NIT is not the NIT of old. No shame in in getting selected. Shame on Georgia and any others for turning it down but by all means go ahead.
I think UGA is turning to down because they just fired their coach and the players don’t feel like playing. It’s understandable.

They can thank having Trae Young on the team. Lots of college basketball fans will watch their game because of him. That increases NCAA revenue.
Some may say the above is a conspiracy, but even some talking heads mentioned the same thing on Twitter.
The committee will justify it somehow. But what it all comes down to is they wanted to see Young in it. That's all it is.

Probably something about them playing in the Big 12, imo, ANYBODY that has a losing record in conference should be considered
No surprise, Temple only AAC team invited. OSU a 2 seed. That is a very good NIT field. BYU. Was a 6 seed & probably the last non-automatic team invited.

BTW, I’m glad we’re in the AAC. It’s looking harder each year for mid major conferences to get at-large bids to the NCAA tournament.
Tulsa 24 Temple 0. Committee should have watched those 7-8 minutes.
Would have much rather seen Middle Tennessee and St. Mary’s than teams like Syracuse
Even if that’s true, and as much as I’d like to see us play again, can you blame them? Our starting point guard is hurt and the backup is out for the year. This team earned an incomplete. Can’t finish the year with these injuries.
