As I was watching the game on Saturday, the announcers kept saying the fans need to be patient, that Eddie needs 3 years of recruiting classes before we can judge him and to see if he can turn things around. If I was just a casual watcher, I would think Eddie was in his 1st year. Did the announcers realize this is Eddies 3rd year?

Yes they are right, so 3 years in has Eddie impressed you with his recruits? I am not so impressed.
2 of the 3 are suspended! Exceeded expectations, thought they wouldn't get suspended till next season? I will say that your bar is set pretty low.
One is injured for the year and RS. The other is the best freshman in the conference and is going to miss 4 of 30 games. NBD this stuff happens all over its the price you pay for good talent.

oh and 6-7 non conference yup they sure overachieved, couldn't be a tragic St Johns with less talent, depth, and youth despite a 13 point second half lead, ditto against a young Wake who played terrible at the RAC yup sure exceeded expectations. Two suspensions...one by your star player as you actually got into the winnable game portion of the schedule
