Very hard to play against.
He’s a nightmare for whomever he’s defending
Agreed, but with him, perhaps, emphasizing his offense it makes me wonder if he can maintain the defensive energy for the entire game?

Still, even with less energy on the defensive side puts him in elite company…

Met Caleb over the summer, great kid, wish him the best this yr at RU, and down the road, he can have a nice career in Europe, NBA may be a lil bit of reach for him, but I would be pulling for him.

I humbly admit.. that all his talk before LAST season.. about being a lockdown defender.. Based on our previous lockdown defender moving over to Oregon, I thought it was wishful thinking.

So happy he made me look foolish.. well, more foolish than usual.

I was worried early last season that his offense and taking too many shots were going to be a big problem... but he tamed that as well and can very well be 1st team All-Big Ten if his defense remains killer and his offense looks as good as we have seen him in his first years here.

Caleb spoke truth last year and his word in interviews should be trusted too.

Him mentioning Mawot and Cam makes me think that could be our starting five, with him, Cliff, and Paul.

Also glad he mentioned the young guys being hungry. They must be busting their asses to earn minutes, which makes for intense practices and a strong team.

I think you're right. Also based on Pikiell's comments. Spencer I think was always going to start but Mag seems to have moved ahead of Hyatt, who will be one of the first off the bench along with Dean and Derek. IMO that's our main 8 man rotation with Jalen Miller seeing spot duty as a defense and energy guy and Woolfolk getting a couple minutes at the 5.

Special break out year he says. I believe it, obviously.

I still think Pike likes Hyatt at the 4 to start and likes Mag as an energy guy off the bench... but Mag wins the job during the season. It's possible Mag is just playing too well and takes that job before the season. That would be a very bullish sign for Mag's season
