Just another tough SMC battle !!
The last two games against Cherokee has been a war in the trenches

Cherokee is a good football team. They could upset anyone on any given Friday. I'm sure the players and coaches for the cats aren't overlooking them. Cats by 28

I see posts every week saying Cherokee is a good football team....I've watched them play 3 times and what I saw wasn't good. Maybe people have different definitions of what good is nowadays.

Last 10 years these two teams are 5 & 5 !!
2 years ago Andrews came from behind and won by 2 points. Last year Cherokee came from behind and won by 3. Both these wins came on the road. Just a little recent history. Look for another hard fought game tomorrow night

Well you can’t overlook anyone. I thought Murphy would blowout Hayesville and I didn’t think Cherokee & Robbinsville would be scoreless late in the 3rd Qtr. Our boys have their heads on straight and won’t forget last year where they were in the red zone 4 times and didn’t score against Cherokee

Interesting if Hayesville hadn't of turned it over in the red zone and given Murphy the ball for a 4 yd TD drive they could of pulled the upset.

I mean that's true given how the game unfolded but if Murphy doesn't have a 150 yards in penalties, most on offense, that game looks a lot like the Cherokee game did for Murphy, i.e. not particularly close. Murphy had nearly 150 more yards of offense despite Hayesville completely controlling time of possession, it cuts both ways.
