1. First and foremost, secure the border. Americans won't accept empty promises to secure it after legalization.
2. Implement e-Verify which will punish employers who hire illegals.
3. Revamp the U.S visa program to enable tracking of all visas including deportation when the visa expires.
4. Require all illegals to register for a work permit. After the registration period ends, deport any illegal caught in the country.
5. Perform thorough background checks on illegals that apply for a work permit. Deport those deemed unworthy of a work permit. Provide no path for citizenship for those that stay.
6. Try and pass an Amendment that rids ourselves of birthright citizenship to eliminate the anchor baby magnet for illegals.
7. Eliminate the family focus on future immigrants. Focus on skills and wealth.

Never going to eliminate birthright citizenship, nor should you. Born here, then you are American...period.

I'm not sure why we would want to reward an illegal immigrant in this country just to have a baby.

1. "Secure the border." How?
2. Never gonna happen as long as corporate America owns every politician from dogcatcher to Capitol Hill. Even Rick Perry pushed a bill through the Tejas legislature exempting domestics from immigration enforcement.
3. Not a bad idea but as with most things the devil is in the details.
4. Amnesty? Turn in your Tea Party card! [laughing]
5. See #3.
6. Forget it. Such an amendment would never get out of Congress, let alone be ratified by the states. Besides which, the "Anchor Baby" is right up there with the Welfare Queen as a darling myth of the xenophobic Know-Nothings. Illegal families can be deported along with their citizen babies, because said baby can't really claim its citizenship rights until the age of 18, at which time they can sponsor their parents for an immigrant visa.
7. Spoken like a true corporate elitist. Screw the poor people who risk their lives to come to America seeking a better life, and take that poem about "huddled masses yearning to breathe free" off the Statue of Liberty -- we only want the Trumps, the Kochs, the Rockefellers, the Prescotts! Which by the way probably would have kept your family out.

So does that logic only apply to Hispanics who cross illegally or does that logic apply to everyone?

If a person is in the country illegally, regardless of heritage, their child should not automatically become a citizen. They are gaming the system and don't deserve to be rewarded for doing so.

Lol, Did they lose the blueprint they wrote up after Mitt got his a$$ handed to him? It's like they don't have a statistician on board, I think the Hispanic voting population has risen like 18% since 2012.

Were they all registered via ACORN? Trump says he will carry Latino vote. Bush would probably get heavy vote from Latino when his wife and GWB hit the trail in their community.

After Trump builds the wall, paid by Mexico, will "anchor babies" qualify by, in labor momma hanging her *** across or thru the fence and drops the child? What if momma reaches thru and retrieves new-born?

Yeah right, ignoring the polls again I see, they must be skewed! Were they all registered by Acorn? Have you ever been to Texas or Arizona? Trump carry the Hispanic vote? The bubble lives.

I have been to both, but not polling Hispanics. Have you looked at historic voting of those states? You are suggesting Hillary could carry them???

I'm hoping Hillary isn't the nominee, but I'm saying Trump and this or his immigration plan will doom the GOP with Hispanics. Not here to argue but this plan is to the right of "self deport" and look how that worked for Mitt.

You are now suggesting Trump is like Mitt as candidate? The only similarity is (R) after their name, IMO. Where am I wrong?

I will take a piece of that action.

Be careful.... I have NEVER been wrong in calling an election starting with Nixon. And that INCLUDES ALL the Democrat wins. If it comes down to Clinton vs. Trump, Trump wins.

I'm impressed, Carnac. If you want your streak to continue, don't pick Trump in a General election.

I will still say he will not get the GOP nomination even though I must admit that to date, I have been wrong on how he has attracted so much support solely preying on emotion.

Not a Trump fan, but Obama got elected solely based on emotion.

Its funny how intuition works. As you may have noticed I am not totally sure that Clinton and Trump will be the nominees as strange things can happen. I will go on record and say if Trump is NOT the nominee and Clinton is, she will be the next President. But something is telling me that in a Trump and Clinton matchup, Trump wins easily.

ok, you are on the record. Typically those that make these type of predictions on here and then they get egg on their face, will deny they have ever made these type of comments. Just don't have amnesia in 2016 regardless how it turns out.
