Sometimes they don’t come out with this news till fall camp gets underway...

I like the idea of red helmet with metallic chrome look. I would like it if Frost brought some of Oregon's marketing to NU with regard to multiple different uniforms with some snap, crackle and pop to them. I am very traditional with regard to NU football, but hey, times change and the uniform has changed over time anyway.
Ya Pennsy, I wouldn’t mind seeing different combinations for a handful of games but if the players want to wear all white for away games at least wear a red helmet with them...
The surrender whites should never ever be worn again. The all-white alternates that we wore Vs Northwestern were awesome though
I agree 100%. He had quite a few uniform combos at UCF as well. It will be exciting to see.

No, in all seriousness though, I used to think we needed to start getting a bunch of alternate uniforms, but I've grown accustomed to doing it the one time for a homecoming game or whatever. Maybe 2-3 times max, because I do like our classic uniforms.
Other schools that do this more often have merch deals with Nike, which is really big on alternates and flashy uniforms. I read on here a year or two ago that Adidas had hired a bunch of former Nike designers, which is why they started to get bigger on alternates and their alternates got a bit better in terms of design and color scheme.
Anyway, point is, bring it on! But keep it classy.

Was wondering the same thing. It was the end of July last year that they announced the alternate. I'm down for them wearing whatever recruits think is cool. Not what 38 year olds like myself think.
We need to get rid of the stupid red stripes on the pants, you can barely tell the difference between Us and Wisconsin and go back to just white or red solid pant Whatever works on the alternates!
Other than the N on the front on the jersey I’ll take the red pants and jersey over the black jersey and same old white pants and helmet....
