Here we go. Forfeits due to lack of numbers. If you are even on the bubble of that scenario. Get into a coop and do what you can for the players that want to play football.

That work should be done way ahead of time. Look ahead in the classes to see what football numbers are coming. Work with JH and youth coaches to determine if the kids that played will likely be out for high school ball. It's not hard. Do the work to help out those who WANT to play.

I think Kimball has quite a few kids, just not many participants. It is a bad situation, a career is to short to miss games if you are a high school kid.

That's what I meant. Kids in the building doesn't mean you'll have players, which means the research needs to be done long before any enrollment counts are done.

Most schools have the boys/girls to have these sports but participation rates are pitiful from where we'd like them to be.

Very sad for that school and its boys almost 57 boys in high school and can not get enough out to play 8-man

The only score I am missing is Emerson-Hubbard vs. Cedar Bluffs. I believe E-H was up 30-6 at half, but have not been able to find a final score.

- LHNE WR Cort McKeown tied an 8-man state record with seven TD receptions in a 74-6 over Madison. LHNE QB Landon Johnson was 14-of-14 for 281 yards and 8 TDs.....two shy of the 8-man record of 10 TD passes set by Wynot's Jackson Sudbeck in 2013.

- Arthur County defeated Sumner-Eddyville-Miller 101-80, setting a new state record in 6-man football for most combined points

- Omaha Benson snapped a 26-game losing streak with their win over Bellevue East

- Winside posts their first shutout victory since 2007
