This would be a huge recruiting victory if Pike can get it done. But a lot of the top programs in the country are also after him.

Dybantsa may very well be the best prospect in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes combined.

Remember when people would say Rutgers isn't a program that recruits "one and done" players?
That's not the type of program HC Pike runs?

And many people bashed the programs/coaches for recruiting those players.

Those were good times.

Difference is, every player could be a one and done now. Whether it’s pro or another college.

Back then, those players weren't even considering RU. The times they are a changin'.

It remains to be seen if we can be successful with one-and-dones. But it sure will be fun to find out!

Well, it wasn’t going to be a model that would be successful for us. It was about player development then the game changed. And here we are…

Agree.

At least he's familiar with the name of the school he's being recruited by. I cringe whenever I see a recruit write University of Rutgers. Sadly, I've seen many.
Exactly Mike, but it's more than that - he said he was blessed to receive the offer, got the name of the school and nickname right, included red and white heart emojis, and added a Block R men's basketball logo - it may seem trivial to some, but it shows respect and I appreciate it.

This guy is such a big time recruit, he probably has a media team managing his twitter. He may not even know that Rutgers offered him . . .

HC Pike has always been giving offers to the top recruits. Regardless of interest.

Didn't we almost get Chet on campus at one point? (Not sure how accurate the reports were).

Great point!!!!

When there is a very good chance that ANY kid can be gone in any given year the “one and done” label is utterly meaningless

So does Ace
I guess maybe their rating system gives the top guy a 100. Ace’s composite is .9996 or some such and he’s second overall to Flagg. Not sure if they reduce the highest score possible for a weaker class. 2013 NBA draft was bad and Giannis was a lucky pick down at 15!
