Light years better and more interesting than the Super Bowl; I'm not sure Trump exactly "won' after the Megyn Kelly thing in the first debate, but I get the impression Fox.....which I admittedly do not watch.....backed off and gave Trump some room to carry on (which he, of course, has).

Well, now that Trump is whining about Kelly again......and more importantly, calling out Roger Ailes personally in the process.....it would appear the final battle lines have been drawn. Now we get to see where the leverage really exists on the Right; with Trump or the Ailes/Limbaugh (and I guess Cruz/Beck) wing of the party. What makes this particular battle so interesting to an outsider like myself is that both sides deserve to have their respective asses kicked but good.

The only thing I know for sure is that Roger Ailes simply cannot afford to lose this one, and will therefore be forced to kill Trump if necessary.....and he's got the juice to do it.....to maintain his rule of the Right-wing kingdom. My opinion only, but I think Trump.....at long last.....has finally opened the wrong lead box and the kryptonite is friggin' glowing.

Trump's nuts if he thinks that Fox News is going to do a turn around on Kelly, who's probably their best and fairest interviewer. My niece interned for her a couple years back and talked about how Kelly wouldn't discuss something on air unless she had 3 sources on each side of the discussion. Was very thorough and demanding on the research staff.

Another example of a master media manipulator. Trump further smothers his competitors as the next 48ish hours of news will center around him and the debate.

I'm not sure that Trump will be hurt if he passes on this next debate due to his big lead in the polls.

Thursday is irrelevant in the big picture; the debate (and whatever Trump does in response) will be a distant by the middle of next week once the Iowa and New Hampshire results become the story, particularly if Trump wins both.

Trump's problem is that he stil needs FNN to blunt the opposing reporting his side is eternally convinced exists everywhere else. If Ailes goes quiet on Trump support......or worse, decides to oppose him.....even Trump supporters (IMO) will eventually start to bail on him with 3 Op-ed shows (plus repeats) attacking him every night.

Fair and balanced.

I don't watch Faux news very often, but I've seen her say anything she damn well pleases. She is not hesitant to throw out her opinion on anything.

You folks never fail to amuse ..... How is it that you and your friends know all the details about FOX when you don't watch it very often? I would bet you watch it every day. Just admit it.....you watch it often. Try being truthful for once.

It's not very hard to randomly flip the channel to Faux News, watch it for five minutes and get two opinions on something, rather than them just sticking to facts.

I'm willing to let Trump have a 4 year trial run at President. What's the worst thing that could happen? Destroying our political system, that would be the best thing to happen in years. 2 Party Dictatorship needs to end. No damn hate ads, no multi-billion dollar campaigns, etc. People should run on their own platform. Why do we need political parties to tell us who to vote for? Political parties is one of the worst things ever, that's how you build corruption. Company X giving Candidate X $$$$$$ for their campaign. Yep, that's pretty shady.

Not to mention, it's time to kick the establishment politicians out the door. They have won multiple races yet have never fulfilled 1 promise from their 1st campaign run. Enough is enough.

Who was the last good president we had? Truman, FDR?

I couldn't care less about the feud between Fox and Trump. I hope they continue degrading each other because they are both a blight on American society.

The issue I have a huge problem is Trump and his thinking that debates is all about ratings. It isn't even though that is another big problem with today's society and these networks are making profits off of the political process. I think the founding fathers would be pissed but that is a different subject.

Debates are not about tv ratings. It is about matching up with you opponents and having your positions being tested. But since Trump has very few legitimate positions on anything, his followers will remain the mouth breathers that they are.

Everything he does is about ratings. Say outlandish things like McCain is 'no war hero' to Iowans eating Monsanto corn causing 'brain damage' is is intended to keep cameras on him. He's like watching professional wrestling...you know it's fake and can't figure out why so many watch. Pretty much the same slice of america.

When you have 1/month, that's all about ratings.

Now if you have debates 1/2 months, you may have a strong argument. I think 1/3 months would be more reasonable.

And if these mediators wanted to be tough, they would ask them to disclose all companies, lobbyists, etc that donated to their campaign and how much. That's the real question Americans want to hear.
