Total implosion from what has been a heady player all year. Hope he shakes it off, this won't define the season.

Several what ifs but Dax missing those 2 FT was a killer.

KU drew even with 21 seconds left, Dax making those 2 FTs wouldnt have changed the course of that game. We needed to simply not turn it over and get probably 1 single clean stop. Shooting 100% from the stripe down the stretch is a tall ask especially since its statistically improbable, not turning it over and not having a complete meltdown from the FT line is all you can ask, we shot okay but turned it over.

It was a team loss. KU "press Virginia'd" us and we didn't handle it. One player did not lose this game. Hopefully, they learned that you have to play all 40 minutes and not 37:15 to win games. Last night was a heartbreaking lesson but this is a good team and they need to finish strong. As they say, sh...t happens. Learn from it and move on.

He did out-hustle everybody to the glass, and made the score 82-80 with a put back after having dropped the ball out of bounds. Give the kid a break. He played very hard, and looked spent at the end of the game.

How many inbounds passes did he toss to Kansas. Then the rebound off the shoe out of bounds. Good grief.
In the last 2:40 he failed to inbound the ball 1 time. Granted it was huge after Carter took the charge but that was the only time he turned the ball over taking the ball out in the final 2:40 of regulation.

No. Phillip took the 5 seconds. Which if anyone has watched the video was not a 5 seconds. Also in that video it showed Mason crossing the inbound line which I think is a delay of game. Plus he comes very close to touching Phillip (in fact he may have) while he is trying to get the ball in which I think is a technical foul.

Wow. Team melts down and misses shot after shot, fails to defend, and got a collective deer-in-the-headlights look and one guy blew the game? Kansas and its ability to score from somewhere other than 10 inches from the hoop and a true hoop court crowd advantage (WVU fans could get schooled from this) won the game for them. The same inability to hold leads by throwing rocks at the hoop has now cost them every loss. Team's seeding is falling I am afraid. Damn

First loss against a ranked team. ESPN was incorrect on their stat last night saying Huggins was 0-3 against ranked teams on the road. WVU beat UVA at their house.

This is a lesson that will serve WVU well in March Madness. I admire this team more after the Kansas game than I did before the opening tip. Fear the Mountaineer!

No, ESPiN wasn't incorrect. ESPiN reported that Huggins was 0-3 all-time on the road vs. A.P. Top 3 teams.
