ACA brought on much more risk for insurance companies when introduced, which is why the subsidies existed to keep premiums affordable while also expanding coverage especially for those with preexisting conditions. As a result of them being stripped away, many people will see their monthly premiums double and triple. I know someone personally that would have to pay over $3K a month for their family. They’ll choose to be uninsured instead as I’m sure many others will too. Totally insane and unsustainable - I hope congress can figure something out. However, I’m not optimistic considering their track record.

The ACA is just like student loan forgiveness. It treats the symptom, not the problem.

I'd tell the democrats to find the money by cutting their programs and we will vote for it. If the Trump administration is smart, he will find some more 80/20 issues to take advantage of and suggest canning those in favor of the ACA.
