must be a joke. Fitz has done everything right. His paranoia about fans not showing up is a direct result of losing to sorry teams in September. People lose hope early when you lose to Minnesota State or similar. That said, the article did rightly mention that opposing fans have no problem showing up instead of watching the game on their cell.
The only thing that I think Fitz has failed in is hijacking the program and making it a commercial product. Keeping the fans away from all aspects of the team, including watching at Kenosha, or practice, or anything else unless you pay the big bucks. I lay down the cash so I can go to events, etc., but it was more fun when many of the average fans went to Kenosha on the hill, or spring game, or practice. So, when an institution or program is not 'close by" the intimacy fades.
And charging $600 to get into the golf lots is a joke because few got into the west lot this year as the program horded many spots for $$$ and allotments to non NU fans.
Without question, fitz has made the program into a product by commercializing the whole damn thing. He wants fans in their seats on Saturday. Well, that's not how it works Charlie.
