My wife, the smartest woman I know with 2 degrees from U Wiskey-Madison & 45 years in the oil & gas industry, has been hooked for years on a particular Soap Opera, "The Young and the Restless". This soap has a fairly new cast member named Conor Floyd who many will remember as having a very nice career as a slot-receiver with TU from 2012-16.

The "drama" and plot lines in this Soap are just as screwy and ridiculous as any soap for the last 60 years. For example, Floyd's character, Philip "Chance" Chancellor (according to my wife) has married a gal who was pushed down some stairs and as a result, couldn't conceive. So the couple go to a fertility clinic & poor Chance has a sperm count that's way to low to try again. They then turn to a sperm donor that turns out to be a friend, and Black. Bingo! During his wife's pregnancy, Chance, as a Special Ops guy with the US Gov't, gets sent to Spain on a mission & disappears. He's found & returns home where his face time & dialogue is increasing exponentially on the tube.

I'm guessing this Soap Opera gig is a very big deal for Conor Floyd. With probably millions of women swooning over him (he's buff and handsome) every day, not to mention a pot full of $ for acting in a very popular soap, his acting career is heading to the moon. He's also been in a couple of tv series and has made a couple of movies. Good for him!!

Conor is on screen pretty much every day when I go into the kitchen for lunch. It's kind of funny!

BTW, this was in Tulsa World two weeks ago. Did y’all give up on local journalism? I’m actually thinking about coming out of retirement bc I’m so sick of seeing a position constantly posted on indeed.

I saw it there.

Do you really think I would recognize Conor Floyd without a helmet and jersey:)

During the summer, the entire house shut down when Grandma Huffy turned on As The World Turns and started to knit. I was about 8 when she started my gold, blue and red quilt. She gave it to me on my 16th birthday. I’ve still got it.
