one of the MU message boards, claiming to have moved to WV from Iowa, asked Marshallonians whether he should choose us or the Herd to follow while here in West Virginia. He asked for an assessment of the two programs.

One MU'er, straight-facedly, judged fb between the two as even, basketball as WVU leading, and baseball was advantage to Marshall. Seriously.

The only fan base in the world that can say P5 versus G5, 0-12, 60,000 fans versus 20,000 fans, National TV exposure versus Internet games, GameDays versus Tic Toc Tire, $75mm versus $29mm athletic budgets, is "even"... However, I truly believe they actually believe it, facts be damned.
