If he somehow flips and commits to NU, will we still go after Max Duggan? How many QBs will we take every year now? I had the impression we only had room for 1. Maybe 2 maximum?

Gebbia isn't sticking around. Several newspaper guys who cover the Huskers have said on radio that Gebbia isn't going to play in a Frost style system. So with Lee gone (and he is) and Gebbia Nebraska will need two recruits this year and one every year after that.

I don't expect it either, but if he does he's got to be your man.

I dont remember the name and that is my bad but it was a writer either from OWH or LJS and heck I dont remember the station either 1620 or on Severe's show. But he said if Frost comes he is gone. He doesn't want to play in a system where is runs as he has NFL goals. He does like it here but liking it here and being in the right system for him when he wants the NFL is different. I am not saying you cant make it in NFL being in Frost system its just not what this writer said Gebbia wants. I am sorry I was driving back from up north during the interview and I was tired.

Yah I know folks are kinda hoping Gebbia stays around, and I don't really know what he's going to do....

but Gebbia is only marginally mobile. I have a hard time seeing him play the role of McKenzie in a Frost offense. Perhaps they have a conversation about how the offense changes if he can't/doesn't just run around making things happen, but I have a feeling that between a recruiting "bump" with Ruder/AMagic/Duggan and perhaps Wilson/Vedral, Gebbia may well end up transferring if he isn't the starter after Spring ball.

If I were a QB with TG skill set, I’d be excited. But whatever.

The guy is thinking of when Gebbias dad was saying it would be a huge mistake if we fired Riley. The way it looks now KJJ is excited about Frost as our next head coach and Gebbia and KeyShawn Jonhson Jr are pretty close. If KJJ is coming back like it appears and he’s shown on tweeter, then I do not see Gebbia going anywhere. The kid is mobile enough for Frosts system and the little bit he lacks, Frost is more then capable of doing his system around TG. So my opinion, until I see any new gumbling from Gebbia, I’m assuming he stays do the looks of KJJ coming back.

I don't think you want a qb who is "Mobile Enough". You dont want to square peg round hole this thing like Riley did. Get a Junior college qb and a high school kid this year and next year get the Iowa Kid who is a dual threat stud.

The radio interview I heard did not say squat about Gebbia's dad just this writers opinion on him staying or going.

Honestly I’m more then fine with Gebbia. With his arm, brains, studies and Frost to do his system around Gebbia...yea I’m golden with TG.

Good news is Frost is smarter than both of us and he will be making those decisions and helping Gebbia make the best choice to stay or go. Win/ Win

I think we both can agree there. We shall see how it plays out. But i wouldn’t be bothered one bit if Gebbia stays. Has the best potential out of all the QBs we have had....hell in years.

Gebbia is very smart. He could be something very special. I hope that Frost will be smart enough to build around him and his special talents.

I think Gebbia will stay. Be good to get an Adrian Martinez and/or JC Terry Wilson though. Throw em out there and see what happens.

If you don't want to play for Frost as a QB, you're making a poor decision. Marcus Mariota, Heisman winner and #2 overall draft pick. McKenzie Milton has developed into a stud in just his second year as a starting QB (30 TDs, 6 INTs). The man knows how to make his QBs look great and develop them into the best player they can be. His system helps your draft stock so if you want to play on Sundays, best get aboard.

I know things change but I remember an article back around the time he committed (somewhere around that time) that said something about him choosing Nebraska over his dads alma mater was due to the QB having to run the zone read 5 or 6 times a game at OIe Miss.

I'm not sure I see the spread option in his skill set myself. I do think he's serviceable but regardless of that he is a pro style QB.

Milton was 28/40 for 497 yards and 5 TDs today. He ran 11 times for 68 yards. If Gebbia doesn't think these types of games can showcase his skills for the NFL, then good luck to him wherever he goes.

I think POB might run Frost's offense well.

Strangely enough I thought Langsdorf said the number of designed runs for TA in the Riley offense was 12 per game.
