Expected to finish near the bottom of the B10. Won some big games here and there. Received a 4 seed in the tournament - too high in my opinion but not that my opinion matters - based on a lot of close victories towards the end of the year. The problem for them is last night, no matter what they , their coaches, or their players think, they ran into a much better team. No way the luck that got them as far as it did was going to give them a chance last night. So, today they spend all day on their message boards calling our team, our fans, our coach, our school, and our state, a bunch of derogatory names. It's understandable, really, when you look at it. For them, they have to get a "win" out of this somehow. Now, let's deal with us.Let's be honest here. West Virginian's, native and adopted, seem to have this inferiority complex. For some reason, we don't seem to believe deep down that we are "worthy" and the equals (or in some cases betters) than our neighbors and opponents. We let this inferiority complex come out in inopportune times, like Huggins' daughters did last night, for example, as well as on message boards, social media, and other places, and that helps to feed that negative stereotype others have against us. It feeds their superiority complex, and the cycle continues. What we need to do is police ourselves. Act like we've been there before, as the saying goes. Really, to let Maryland of all fan bases, control the narrative? They aren't worth our effort. They are an afterthought now - and not really even worthy of a pre-thought. To quote the great Josey Wells: "To hell with them, buzzards gotta eat, same as the worms".</blockquote>
