A Few Things About Ivey

Early in the first half Purdue scored a bucket, and after the ball went in Ivey’s momentum had him running baseline toward the RU bench. When he turned up-court he was within about three feet of the RU bench and looked at the fans in the first few rows and out of nowhere—nobody had said a word yet as it was so early in the game—he yells an unprovoked “**** you!” to the fans. Nobody had said a thing so I immediately became an Ivey disliker.

How did the refs miss the travel call on his dunk after he stole the ball from Cliff late in the game? We saw it all the wayfrom our end of the court, and I just watched the replay twice and he took four steps. Unbelievable reffing during some points in this game.

So of course I was soooo happy it was Ivey who travelled trying to break through the trap we set with about 15 seconds left, resulting in a turnover. So frickin’ happy.

I agree that the refs sucked, with Rutgers getting jobbed...at home no less....quite a few times.

He will be a much better NBA player than college. He kind of reminds me of Russell Westbrook. Out of control, super fast, bit cocky, occasional unstoppable dominance.

I didn’t know about the FU. That garbage absolutely gets me going.

Great to see you at the R Club.

It appeared as though he did another f-bomb towards the student section after his showboat dunk. And BTW, he took 4-5 steps so yup, def. a blatant travel OP. SMDH. Refs too much p#ssies to call that one I guess.

I said the same exact thing at both points in the game.

Was wondering what he said, I thought he was chirping at Nathan. If he yelled FU to the fans unprovoked then what a low life.

Ivey was boisterous with the student section and a court side fan. Didn’t realize how hot headed he is as his teammates had to calm him down several times during game.
There were a few times it was obvious the dude has anger issues. I’m a huge fan of aggression in sports, but there are limits and he goes past them. A couple of times we got inside his head by trying to grab the ball from him after the whistle had blown, and he looked like he wanted to fight. The dude doesn’t seem to have healthy stopping points.

This is something to think about in the future. Gamesmanship. Keep getting into the dudes head.

Exactly what was stated, just gamesmanship.

I was younger, but I believe Jared Dudley from BC gave him an FU back in the day and it got him benched haha.

Some of the guys on the floor are rowdy and are a big part of RAC magic.
That’s amazing lol.
