Watching the game again. Glutton for punishment I guess.
The O-line is slow, weak and sloppy and miss assignments constantly. How did they regress from last year ?
TN, pushed the line of scrimmage back a solid 2-3 yds most of the game.
Our receivers most of the time appeared to not know who to block, thus they blocked no one.
They don’t run crisp , solid routes.
They can’t catch the seemingly easy balls, especially F Green.
Dropped a sure first down that killed what was a pretty good drive.
We’ve actually seen all of this in the first game of the year. Against the better opponents, it’s really reared it’s ugly head.
Haven’t re-watched the Defense yet this game but from what I saw Saturday in Knoxville, Leo Lewis is worse now than the first day he suited up.
We are out of position way too many times and are reaching/trying to arm tackle.
We have one CB that shouldn’t even be on the field.
We have some good but young DL that I hope will be improved a lot next year.

Not sure why someone downvoted this. I agree 100% except that the jury is still very much out on whether we have some good young DL or some mediocre young DL and I never thought Leo Lewis was going to live up to the hype from the beginning. Brookhaven's defenses sucked when he was there.

When Fletcher Cox was at Yazoo City, they weren’t very good. They had one decent season and made the playoffs.

Eulls was the starting QB at Yazoo County at 260#, because he was the best player on the team.

Michael Spurlock was QB for a Indianola Gentry team that went 1-9 and he averaged 300 yards passing and 100+ running.

All 3 made the NFL.

Gardner Minchew? NFL

McKinley? NFL

Leo Lewis will play in the NFL. He is playing on a team that uses a 2 Linebacker set. His coach is under-utilizing his strongest position, creating a lot of out of position situations for Errol and Leo.

Bad coaching of good players.

No, Leo Lewis will not play in the NFL because he’s not very good. It is what it is.

Leo Lewis might be the most overrated overhyped player to suit up for the maroon and white. At least in a long time. He hasn’t done much anything of note since he sacked Shea Patterson in the 2016 Egg Bowl and then trolled Ole Miss on Twitter.

I haven't watched it again but I swear I felt like UT would find a way to lose even late in the game. They are absolutely terrible...and we are absolutely worse. We are incredibly back at Croom-level bad after after only a year and a half of Moorhead.

That was an absolute atrocious performance by the o-line. Brings back memories of the 2008 egg bowl (at least UM had some legit talent on that d-line). If we didn't have Shrader at QB, Tennessee would have a few more sacks - he barely escaped 2 or 3 times.

Maybe KT made a good decision to sit this season out... no QB would want to play behind our line.

I have been saying the OL is putrid. They get worse every game. They are experienced and we have depth. No excuses there at all. DL is different story. Not sure how the 17 you have a team with no junior or sophomore DL. We are very young there. That OL is just piss poor play and you can not have a decent offense with that kind of blocking. Nothing works if you can't block

I don't think they're bad - they're still a mismatch for the offense. It's easy for people to understand the difference required between Mullen's QBs and JoeMo's. However, the difference at OT is just as big. Our OL is still the equivalent of Fitzgerald's 2018 passing attack.

Cross should be an immediate contributor next year. I'm worried about Dolla Bill's fit in this offense though.

We are more likely to beat LSU this weekend than Leo Lewis is to play in the NFL. I'll be surprised if he even gets a try out.
