Since seeding began in 1940 there have been eight instances where a wrestler has beaten the top 3 seeds in a single tournament.

The first four are old so I will give you those.

Can you name the fantastic four who have done it since the turn of the century?

sounds more like he knows nothing.

tell him great work.

ask him how many other wrestlers beat four single digit seeds in a single tournament like Austin Trotman.
How about a negotiation. We’ll submit to you Tyler Kasak in ‘24 and if you give us the rest we’ll give you the guy who beat 5 single digit seeds

Fine. But what about the OTHER four guys who beat five single digit seeds?

And do we have the same friend?

We don’t know the other 4 without deep diving. That’s what we were asking you for.
The guy who beat 5 is Quisel.
Ahhh, a pox upon me for a lout. I missed that.

While Quisel was not the first, he was the only one in the group who beat five of the guys seeded to AA. Everyone else had to sprinkle a #9 seed in there for good measure.

But my favorite is Gary McCall. In addition to being the first, and one of the guys who took down two #1's, he did it in the same tournie, and as part of knocking off five single digit seeds. That man had his work cut out for him.
