A 19-0 run ?

Our scoring droughts are epic. The usual remedy, for most teams, is to feed a big guy inside for a high percentage shot or to get fouled. With Cliff we don’t have an effective drought-stopper.
I feel like there was a 25-0 run once, maybe last year, I cant remember. Feel like it was also against MSU, might have been @ Illinois though
What is really upsetting is that Rutgers was on a scoring spurt to take the lead prior to the prolonged scoring drought.If Rutgers maintained a pulse on offense, they could have won the game because Michigan State was shooting bricks prior to their 19-0 spurt.

Summary: 4 minutes 27 seconds, MSU makes all 7 shots including 3 treys, 2 ‘and1’ (3 pts each), and 2 dunks. Rutgers misses all 7 shots. MSU appeared to get as many as 4 favorable calls/no calls.
I don’t think RU played particularly bad during that stretch, other than giving up a couple dunks and a couple open threes (we missed 2 open treys of our own). If we just make some shots and maybe get a couple calls our way, it might have been a 12-6 run instead of 19-0. So MSU would have been up by 5 instead of 18. Game over at that point.
Agree with your summary Billy but we did also make some bad decisions and got lazy on D a couple of those plays. We played great up until that point when you consider the home court refereeing. Cliff was getting pushed on every Defensive rebound. Of course they call the one Offensive he was putting back in. MSU played physical which I don’t mind. That was us in many wins at home the last few years and against Indiana last week. That I can live with. But agree it was a perfect storm leading to 19-0.
