I think maybe they're afraid it will look too much like the BCS. And having all 5 Power 5 champs automatic is a BCS rule, too. You could have a 3-loss Power 5 champ in it and leave out one-loss teams. If they just divide the country geographically into 8 conferences of 8 teams apiece and have the champs in the 8 team playoff that would make for an interesting season because then every conference race would matter. However, even though we're wiser, we don't run the show so the Football Final Four will hang around till someone figures out how to bring a lot more money into it with 8 teams without destroying the other bowls. Most of the lower bowls are meaningless anyway, other than giving the teams an extra month of practice for work with the following season's returning players. </span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">M anhandled Missouri, 26-11</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">O rdinary against Youngstown, 38-21</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">U nnerving miracle goalline tip/interception escapes BYU, 35-32</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">N o quit against Kansas State, 17-16</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">T ony’s turbulence tore up Texas Tech, 48-17</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">A nother defense whipping, of TCU, 34-10 </span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">I gnominy of turnovers against Oklahoma State, 20-37</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">N ail Kansas</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">E radicate Texas</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">E rectile dysfunction Oklahoma</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">R oll over Iowa State</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)">S uffocate Baylor</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"></span></strong></p></blockquote><p></p>
[QUOTE="Cuyahoga Falls Eers_rivals, post: 129707162, member: 1759980"] [B][SIZE=5][COLOR=rgb(255, 0, 0)]8 team playoff is logical and inevitable, with 5 Power 5 conferences which guarantees at least one of the royal members will be unhappy every season.
