BUT definitely today!!!
It would be really, really good to put an end to all that “no bowls since 1847, longest streak for a power conference team…” and “Nebraska is 0-314 with a chance to secure a bowl bid” talk. That’s becoming a thing and we need to put a stop to it now before it gets totally out of control.

I've thought for the past two weeks that we would play well at USC (take away the bungling DB play and we did) and then beat Wisconsin. And if we beat Wisconsin, we'll have at least a one in three chance of beating Iowa.

Today should be a put it all together, Colorado-esque type of performance. Wisconsin won't let us get up on them like CU but a 7-10 point victory is possible.

Blackshirts + loud stadium + new Badger OC = some Wisconsin misfirings and penalties.

The Badger D will be tough but OCDH says our Oline's pad level is good and they create creases. I hope our backs hit those creases fast and DR releases the ball a little more quickly like last week.

I think we can do this!

It’s never about one guy- this is about the team and especially the entire fanbase.

Having said that… Ty Robinson…. Ty muther-flipping Robinson deserves this as much as anyone. He’s been through it and has undoubtedly poured his heart and soul into this place. It’s Tyme to flip the script on all the bad juju.

Hope the rest of the team can bring it, cus I know he is gonna be out there dialed in, laying it all on the line, leaving nothing in his tank.

Let’s go bowling.

Why does Ty Robinson deserve it more than anybody else? Dude has more talent than everybody else on the roster, yet played well below expectation for most of his career and took forever to come along. He finally did come along and that's showing this year, but I don't think that indicates he's outworking the rest of the roster.

Wisconsin has gotten better as the season has progressed and are very good defensively. I am always wrong but this game feels like another 12-10 game late, we need to have good special teams and a great late drive to win and hit a 40+ yard field goal..and well....

I was excited for Matt Rhule not because I thought he would recruit well, or be super-exciting or dynamic as a coach, but because I thought our teams would be smart and play good football. Follow the key tenants of the game...ie...1. Play Field position, always try for a short field, have a great punting game, great field goal game, use defense to make offensive scoring more efficient. Limit turnovers and penalties, and play disciplined. And have a team of football players, even if they weren't the most talented. Instead we got the opposite. Quite a talented team that has no idea what they are doing, terrible special teams(maybe improving), lots of penalties, personal fouls and lack of discipline, awful field position, decent punting, terrible fg game. Hard to imagine beating a decent big 10 team in late November with that kind of team.

Wisconsin has gotten better as the season has gone along? They’ve lost their last three and fired their offensive coordinator.

If that’s getting better as the season has progressed, we better lock up Rhule for another 8 years, cuz he has progressed even more, losing 4 in a row and demoting the offensive coordinator a few weeks ago.

If you’re gonna troll Husker nation, at least try. You aren’t very good at this.

We will tell early how the game will go. Does DR slide early or fight for that first down.

The team feeds off Raiola, right or wrong.

I think he finds the open receivers with another week under DH.

Lost 16-13 to the #1 team in the nation the week before they played us. That would constitute as playing better. I said in my post that we have a team of really good players, and a pretty poor group of coaches. Really sad it took this for Rhule to get rid of his buddy in favor of competence. The hope is Rhule was just living in 2019 and thought he could build a staff that listened to him and whom he trusted, except the sport had changed dramatically and his OC of choice just didn't turn out to be very good. I feel really bad for this team, a really good collection of players, who could have been on the cusp of a playoff run to have this outcome. 10 more points a game(likely under DH) and we are 10-1. Hell, even the Indiana game, with an offense that didn't turn it over 5 times might have been a shootout.

And the week before they lost to Iowa 42-10.

That’s anything but progress. Sorry, just don’t agree with your premise at all.

Well, obviously you are correct. They suck and I am happy we laid it on them. Not sure how they held Oregon to 16, and gave up 44 to us. What are the chances they would give up 16 to Oregon, then go play Nebraska with a new OC, Wisky averages 7.5 yards per play and we still beat them by 20. Maybe teams need to have a relief coordinator to bring in at the end of the season to mix things up.

You called it. You also told us early not to expect too much this year—that year 2 is about a bowl and year 3 is the Rhule breakthrough, Credit to you for being levelheaded throughout the season. Meanwhile, I was busy getting overly hyped about the Colorado game and losing my shite after UCLA.

I had us winning 8 this year but said we would beat CO and Iowa. Hopefully we knock them around next week. Otherwise I’m going to owe some lunches.

I think it’s obvious that Oregon was sleepwalking last week. It happens. People said the same thing about Ohio State against us.

Our 4 game losing streak is over. Wisconsin is in the middle of theirs. They are getting worse, not better.
