Not very familiar with the freestyle tournament format so since Gillman was/is the world team member at 57 and fix won yesterday does he have the bye into the best 2 out of 3 finals matches?

Suriano supposedly hasn't wrestled freestyle in a few years but is going to wrestle 61kg US team member Colon at the Beat the Streets exhibition.

I don’t think Suriano is planning to really pursue FS post college. He is going to transition to MMA pretty quickly.

Daton actually beat Suriano once in freestyle back in 2014. Some fairly interesting, though quite useless, info regarding some names from this weekend...

- May 2014, Daton beat Suriano in the Cadet finals to make the World team. Suriano's only freestyle tournament that I'm aware of. Ironically, there were no takedowns. Daton won 1-1 on criteria based on last passivity point.
- October 2014, Suriano beat Daton at WNO in their marathon match.

After that loss, Daton registered for the Super32 to get another crack at Suriano - Suriano was already registered at the time. Suriano then ended up withdrawing.

- November 2014, with Suriano no longer in the bracket, Daton ended up making the Super32 finals and lost to Yianni.
- April 2015, Daton went to FloNats to get another shot at Yianni. Daton beat him in the finals. Yianni beat Molinaro, JO & Retherford this weekend.
- October 2015, Daton went to the Super32 again to get a crack at Suriano. Daton lost to Karam in the semis and then Vito Arujau in the consis. Daton beat Vito in quarters this weekend.

One thing about Daton, he seeks out the best guys and goes gunning for anyone he loses to. Add Gilman to the list.
