Here is a list of NBA current / former greats. Highest recorded vertical was Wilt's 48".

Looking forward to our Jumping Jacks Sanders / Johnson. They should be able to dunk on anything / anyone. Now if they can just play D, take care of the ball, make passes to set up the rest of the team, create, move the ball, hit the open 3, block shots, steals and HIT their FT'S.....

We'll all be very happy.

52 inches....I've never heard of anyone with that kind of hopps short of Fred Mc Murray in Flubber!

There were rumors that there was a Harlem Globetrotter who had close to a 60" vertical I read sometime in the past...He is also the only person to ever dunk on a 12' rim.

Maybe it's time to re-calibrate the machine that measures vertical leaps. I'm not sure I believe this one!

Pikiell made a mistake on this. Johnson jumped 43 inches for his vertical. He tweeted this.

It is still very high. I hope he has a great season!

Think you are referring to Michael Wilson who played for Memphis in college. I saw him play. His vertical was almost comical. He looked like he jumped 3ft in the air for ordinary jump shots. Unfortunately, his game wasn't very refined.

Nigel Johnson jumped 43 inches in the air. Pretty impressive. Hopefully it translates to competitive play on the court.
