that's RU's record in Big Ten play since joining the conference.
2-16, 1-17, 2-15 plus two losses in the conference tourney.

We're just gluttons for punishment. Not even mad. Just numb at this point.

Clearly Rutgers was unprepared to play in the B1G and the record for the 3 years is totally unacceptable.Trimble for Maryland played a ho hum game but still was the best player on the court surrounded with team mates who could pass the ball and shoot while Rutgers lacks talent at every position. The difficulty to even score 60 points is telling because the team is composed of players who simply are poor shooters.

We are 2-17 this year not counting sub 150 teams.

Tough to be optimistic about our future. Especially when looking at our freshmen.

Just a roster filled with guys that literally produce nothing offensively and not really any help on the way next year. Discouraging.

Thiam, Eugene and Bullock are pieces we needed to land and can develop.....what has to happen is finding safe/fundamentally sound players that don't need to be the highest ranked recruit, but a piece that fits what we do on both ends of the court, without glaring gaps in their games (Thiam is extremely limited beyond his potential shooting) and Eugene has the physical body, but doesn't possess the flow to his game....his reminder of Dane Miller, without the elite/deer-like footspeed is only going to go so far, when you cannot yet take (with confidence) open shots and make them.

There are a couple of late recruiting additions that can make this next incoming class, more of what we need. It will take a couple of transfers out and some fortunate recruiting wins by the staff for the right pieces to be added this spring/summer.

we need alot of work...next year is going to be similar....11 wins to 17 win range depending on the pieces. The 2018 and 2019 are going to be enormous. Next year the fans will have to temper all expectations and it will not be until year 4 and 5 of Pike when we truly see the upward movement that shows up in wins and losses...and that is only if he can land a signficant number of top 150 players back to back years

They needed to keep Thiam last recruiting cycle because he had length and was supposed to be a shooter. The upside was/is there. Plus, I think the school should keep its commitment to a recruit who committed to us.

Omoruyi is a nice athlete and works hard but he hasn't shown any ability to put the ball in the basket and not sure he filled a need enough at the time. We already had Laurent and Thiam coming in. Maybe he can develop an offensive game. I'd be surprised to see all three of those guys coming back based on this season's performance. No real production from any of the three and distribution of minutes between them has been erratic.

Regarding Bullock, I don't give a damn where he went to high school or who his friends are. He should have never have been given a scholarship. End of story.

We really need a center who can at least contribute what Gettys gave us this season. We also need a small forward who can hit the outside shot and give us scoring. We got very little from our small forward position this year. We also need another guard who can hit a three. That is a lot to ask for but if we don't solve these problems we will probably struggle next year.

roster just lacks offensive talent, and shooters, something we all know, but offense comes from talent, bottom line, need to recruit some players with offensive ability, not guys that play hard that you think you can develop offensively

Right on. Need guys that have the ability to score because they know how to shoot. Then create an offense. Can't win on defense alone as we know.

Vision and shooting.

I originally thought it odd MD would double when Freeman or Gettys got the ball in low post. They can be defended straight up. Then you saw that they don't pass out of it and it made sense. One play Mike was wide open and calling for it. Gettys didn't see him.

Rutgers needs stretch 4 types who can shoot and if you have to trade athleticism for skill so be it.

The abysmal stats speak for themselves. What concerns me is how they will be used aginst Rutgers in recruiting? With the present talent level Rutgers will be stuck at the bottom of the B1G because league rivals have better young talent.

You forgot to thank Mike Rice who turn the program into a dumpster fire. You think Pike is still up for COY?

ACtually, Uncle Bob -- canning Waters (which might have shown foresight) and replacing him with Hill (just an incredibly lousy choice) when the tandem could have keps us safely mediocre, even in a strong Big East conference.

Im sure our coaches see what we need. They will recruit and get those type players. Dont be shocked if a few spots open with transfers.

Hey I like this game. ACTUALLY, Uncle Fred turning down the Big East invite when we were one of the best programs in the East. And I'll also throw in him not hiring Dick Vitale when he had the chance for good measure.

It will be difficult w/o the facilities. Not sure kids will buy in based on renderings.

The team has been in at least 4 games this year decided by 6 or more points, and 3 games decided by 10 or less points. Why not sign up?

Their gym, and locker room, is nearly first rate. Next up, three years, another two court.s

When a program is neglected and coaching hires are made on the cheap and also idiotic this is what you get. You just need one stud and some serviceable players and you can be respectable. Sad that we can't get one .
