Anyone have our D stats on 3 rd and long? Just can't believe how good we've done on 1st and 2nd downs only to give up, which seems like, dozens and dozens of big plays on like 3rd and 20. What is going on here?

Aggressive D will always give up big plays. I personally can't stand the new defense, but in this case, we have to have a potent offense to support or compliment it.
Lacking discipline and each player not playing there assignment all it takes is one or two players heads not in the game
IMO when it's 3rd and long less disciplined players relax lose focus because they figure the likelihood of the opponent won't make it compared to 3 and 4 then you have to play hard
We have some super weird stats. One of the best teams in the country on 1st and 2nd down...one of the worst on third down...of course one of the worst in terms of penalties, turnovers, PR, KR net. But we have two losses when our offense has over 550 yards...we have outgained 3 of 4 opponents. The kicking game is killing us...and that is the one area where we won't likely improve this year.
