Before you get upset at ticket booth Friday night, the NCHSAA has dictated ticket prices for 3rd and 4th round be $14 per ticket. This price is not set by individual schools.

That must be a backhanded way for NCHSAA to make up for the revenue it will sacrifice by its ludicrous championship scheduling when fan bases cannot attend games!!!
The deep round increase has been this way for years.
I imagine they're saving money by using these smaller venues this year, but I agree with you...folks might not come the way they think. Lenoir-Rhyne? Quite a drive for most east folks. Thursday games, one at 8pm? Crazy.
When you break down the simple economics of the new classification system the state must of been overjoyed. Previously, 4 classes with 64 teams each meant 256 teams in the playoffs generating revenue. Now, in theory, 7 classes with 48 teams is 336 plus 32 in 8A. This gives you a total of 368. Quite a few more gates to take a share of.
No high school sporting event should ever be over $10.
