1. After 3 games we still don't have a RB with 100 yards. Combined avg of 3.4 ypc
2. After 3 games we still don't have a WR with 100 yards
3. We are currently 6/7 on FG

Obviously our offense has been less than stellar all around. The OL cannot get much of a push and we aren't stretching the field like we want to. The defense at least on the eye test looks better than last season, but we also did just give up 500 yards vs Penn St are still giving up 32 ppg. We need to quit worrying about making mistakes as young WRs and get them out there. We pose no threat trotting out Falck, Warner and Liewer at the same time.

Falck had a nice catch and run

warner and liewer don't belong on the field

Yeah, I agree. I would continue to use Betts, Falck, Wandale, Fleming, Alante and see if some others can come in. Give Houston a shot possibly as well, but there is no reason to trot out Warner right now. If he was a Todd Peterson type that would catch about everything, fine, but he is not close to that and seems to be a liability right now.

don't forget Manning.

I, too, am happy with the kicking game thus far. gave up a semi-backbreaking punt return to NW, but all in all it's nice to have a reliable PK + punter.

Great picks. I think WR yards is the least surprising. Even if they were playing well, this isn't an offense that predictably targets one guy with a lot of volume. You might see 9 different guys with receptions someday when this offense is clicking. You could see ways to have 300+ yards passing without a 100 yd receiver.

I get more worried about the RB position with each day that goes by. Still in search of a RB with the versatility to execute whatever kind of call they make. I think the verdict is in for Dedrick Mills, he just doesn't see zone blocking very well.

Wan'dale is an NFL talent with high school size. I love the kid so much but he just isn't heavy enough (nor should he be) to play him as an every-down RB. He has the vision you need at that position but he's just not large enough to run through contact. He should be your second back in split backs, not your only back in single back.

I don't understand Warner's role in this offense. 3 games in, he's a starting WR getting a ton of reps that has one more reception on the season than our starting QB has.

Is he world class at blocking on the perimeter?

Would say the blocking plus the best overall understanding of the offense other than the QBs.

at some point you gotta roll with who is gonna make plays. Maybe Kade is dropping some of these passes cause his stache is in the way.

Maybe I am over analyzing but I feel our RBs are too quick to hit holes. I remember Ozigbo learned to wait and so did Mills middle of last year. I see Wandale and Mills hitting the holes quick which in theory sounds good but not sure that will lead to more yards....or our OL just isn't getting it done.

Sounds like some kind of injury. Plus I just don't think the coaches are very excited about his potential in this offense. He's a "you take the ball and run through this gap" back. He struggles mightily with picking his own running lane.

It would be nice to see what Morrison can do sometime this season.

Frost alluded to him having some kind of nagging injury. His HS film certainly suggested that he could make some noise.

You saw a couple flashes from Scott III of the kind of runner he is, he ran through a few tackles. Especially that 3rd down catch on Luke's little Brett Favre toss.

It looks like Scott will be a good power back, but we also need a back that has speed and can break the long run. Hopefully Morrison can be that type of back.

Warner might be in rut right now... Regardless of his drops, we absolutely need him on the field as not only is he the best blocker in that room but also has the best hands in the room as stated by Frost.

Yes, we shouldn’t give up on him. Before his drop, he made a catch that put the ball on the one yard line, which resulted in a touchdown.

Stanley Morgan had a few famous drops in his time. The occasional drop can happen, but can’t happen when we’re not completing enough passes as is.

We can agree to disagree on that. I'm much more excited about our younger guys that can run. Off the top of my head, I can't remember Fleming or Betts dropping a pass yet. He might be in a rut, but at some point we have to stop making excuses. Finally it happened with Martinez. Every single week we always here how they had yet another bad game, but they promise they will get better. He might have great hands in practice, but it isn't translating.

If butterfingers has the best hands then we have even bigger issues than I thought.

Mill's isn't necessarily the back Frost wants, but he's a back Frost needs. He looked pretty good the last few games in 2019. Sample size thus far isn't very big.
