Congrats to the Lady Gladiators. They were pretty much in control in all three sets tonight. The first one was either 25-17 or 25-19 (I forgot), the second was a runaway at 25-12, and in the third one, RHS had a big lead before Luray caught their second win and crept back to within a point at 23-22 before RHS closed it out at 25-22.
Making this win even more impressive was the fact that Gladiator standout Nyssa Stapleton did not play in the last two sets. She aggravated a shoulder problem that has bothered her off and on this season, and came out late in the first set and did not return. The rest of the Big Red stepped up their game and won without her.
As mentioned above, the Gladiators will host a state semi on Tuesday.
