Tore up his knee late in the year against UNI , wrestled big 12s in big brace and limped the whole time and took 10th as the 6 seed in a 8 bid weight class, he lost to that same UNI kid for 9th. Probably won’t get a wildcard but you never know , he also applied for a Med RS for last year at Rutgers

Why wouldn’t he get a wildcard ?? Is Soldano too hurt to wrestle? Or are you basing it on taking 10th in 8 bid weight class?? He was ranked 10th and has a win over SCW… not sure why u think he probably won’t get a wildcard.

I would think he is a prime candidate for a wildcard. However, if his knee is that bad, he should bow out and hope the medical application is approved.

If not both this would be the best outcome. Even this lesser Shawver could still score us a point or two, whereas White would most likely go 0-2.

Better for optics if qualified whole squad… if White could knock off a guy like Millard he might be able to win a match or two.

Willie, on Bashamania podcast, thinks Shawver is 100% lock to get in.. White seems to be on the outside looking in to get one though..

Great to see nine in the tournament – – but still would have liked to see Anthony White in. Was it a close call with him?
